Fundraising is the bedrock of Wednesdayite and absolutely central to the success and future of our Supporters Society. A vibrant and creative fundraising sector can truly fulfill our hopes and dreams of providing you, the fan with a greater say and influence at Hillsborough.

The key to this success and the key to achieving our goals is YOU. We, as Directors can lead by example and organise initiatives but that will only take us so far. It ’s only when you, the member, the fan, become the focal point of the fundraising that we as a group can seriously realise the enormous potential of our combined abilities to raise funds and fulfil our dreams.

So we ’d love to hear your ideas and your thoughts on fundraising. Just think for a moment - What can you do for Wednesdayite? Or rather what can you do for yourselves? The amount raised from each or any initiative is irrelevant, it’s the culture of wanting to be involved and delivering for the greater good of us all that’s important.

Participation will deliver success and that in turn will lead to continued and greater success. So why not start thinking about how you can help and what you can do? Contact us with your ideas. We ’re here to help and encourage you and we’re always on hand to make sure your ideas are turned into reality.

For any doubters amongst you who might think, what can I as an individual achieve? Or what impact can I really make? Look no further than a couple of examples from much smaller clubs; Huddersfield raised £121,000 in their first two months whilst Brentford have raised nearly £1million! So believe us when we say, it really can be done. All it needs is your desire and your enthusiasm to get involved and make that difference.

Ok, so you ’ve raised some funds, what next? Well, we give you the opportunity of choosing into which fund initiative your money goes.It’s all down to you where your raised cash goes. We think it’s a perfect way of demonstrating how Wednesdayite listens to its members. We’re setting up four key funds for the foreseeable future and you simply choose into which one, or ones you want your collected money to go. For more details on those funds, click here.

If you ’re not already, become a member! Whilst your at it, get any friends, family or workmates to become members. The greater our membership the more we can achieve.

Why not use the Wednesdayite Car Park situated on the Penistone Road opposite the Kop? And if you ’re a member then you’ll be able to use the Wednesdayite Lounge above the Park Hotel near the ground.

You could attend one of our upcoming events and even better why not organise an event yourself? It could be a sponsored walk, a bike ride or a jumble sale.

Drop your spare change into your very own Wednesdayite tin can, you ’ll be amazed how much can be raised through such a simple idea.What’s more you might win two Wednesday season tickets!

You can also make a donation anytime or simply donate anything, any item you don ’t want and we can re-sell it or auction it towards the Wednesdayite cause.

If you work for a company then ask them to donate some product or see if they’ll sponsor one of our events.
