Read into Backpass at the Wednesdayite Lounge

Category:   Wednesdayite Events | Author:   JamesHargreaves

Dedicated to football in the 60's, 70's and 80's, 'BACKPASS' magazine  is a fascinating read from cover to cover.

The editor of BACKPASS has kindly  given a few copies of the excellent quarterly publication for members to take a read through at The Wednesdayite Lounge for this weekend's match against Cardiff City*.

Of particular interest to Sheffield Wednesday fans will be a fantastic segment in the current second issue of the magazine featuring Don Megson's stories of 1966, George Best and the infamous match-fixing scandal.

Other articles include nostalgic football memories of Terry Conroy, Peter Storey and Willie Johnson as well as a look at the football scene in the film Kes and also insights into Brian Clough and Jimmy Hill.

Join us at The Wednesdayite Lounge for your chance to read through the magazine from 12:00 midday  on the 23rd February at The Hillsborough Club, Bradfield Road*.

Issues of the £2.50 magazine can be purchased from the website at: http://www.backpassmagazine.co.uk.

*Note: This article has been rearranged from the Coventry City midweek match on Tuesday 19 February due to that match being postponed because of a frozen pitch at Hillsborough.
