Owls BlogOwls Blog
Regular Owls Blogger and Sky Sports fan zone SWFC blogger Carl Mullooly brings his September blog to Wednesdayite.com with the recent run of results very much to the fore of Carl's mind.

"I’m writing this blog in a state of disbelief. Not because our team have lost four games on the bounce, but the reaction of a small section of our fan base and the select few who think a change in manager is necessary.

Our regular Owls blogger Joe Crann returns to Wednesdayite.com with his latest blog as the Owls season hits a bit of a hiccup.  Joe is based in South Africa and is a journalist for Soccer-Laduma, Africa’s biggest football publication.  He's Sheffield born and bred and moved over to Cape Town, South Africa in 2011.

"Another week gone and another defeat to deal with, however, having listened to the game, watched the highlights and spoken to my folks, who were both at the game, a certain chant sprung to mind.

Owls Blog - Thoughts from the Bolton Defeat

24 September 2012
Owls BlogOwls Blog

Following the Owls fourth defeat in a row this weekend against Bolton Wanderers Owls blogger Matt Grant returns to  Wednesdayite.com with his thoughts from the Bolton defeat "A work in progress, no need to panic."

"The Championship is said to be the 6th richest league in Europe, I’m assuming not that far behind The Bundesliga, Serie A and Primeria Liga. And maybe if last season’s performance of clubs promoted to the top tier, where all three survived relegations, is repeated this season then we could say the gap is perhaps gradually closing on The Premiership (and its near equivalent, La Liga).

Owls BlogOwls Blog
To start the week we welcome a new Owls blogger to Wednesdayite.com and without further a do, we'll hand over to John to introduce himself;

"My name is John Patterson, I have followed Wednesday since I was a young lad, growing up I was a Newcastle United fan but was converted to Sheffield Wednesday in 2001 when I attended my first game.  Unfortunately for me just after our last Premier League season so as of yet have never been to a Premier League match but hopefully if Wednesday continue with the great start to this season I will get to see one in the near future, fingers crossed.

"Today I’m tasked with writing a blog on Sheffield Wednesday on the same day that David Cameron stated in the House of Commons, "Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the (Hillsborough) disaster.

"It’s been a very unsettling experience to be a Wednesdayite this week, following the release of the Bishop of Liverpool’s report into Hillsborough, as we watched our club take centre stage, alongside South Yorkshire police and Sheffield Council, in grim revelations about that day in April 1989.
