As I have already discussed with you, I wish to tender my resignation from the Board of Wednesdayite Ltd.

My period on the Board first of Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust and then of Wednesday Ltd, has been eventful to say the least. I will have many memories of very interesting times  to look back on.

I must thank my colleagues for their support and encouragement during the good times as well as during the 'difficult' days as we worked hard to establish the organisation and its relationship with SWFC and the club's fans. I would like to thank you, Paul, especially, for the friendship which has developed and I hope this will continue.

I must put on record my appreciation of the huge amount of work that you and Jeff, as the two most active directors, have put into the organisation especially over the last couple of years as Wednesdayite Ltd picked up the pieces and maintained the services to its members and the SWFC community. Without the efforts of the two of you, it would have been impossible for the organisation to continue. The results you have achieved for Wednesdayite Ltd have been outstanding.

Wishing you all the best for yourselves and Wednesdayite Ltd in the future,

His service has been exemplary and the organization and its members owe him tremendous gratitude.

We have enjoyed his valuable input and bouncing things off him as he always brought a calm experience and maturity to any particular situation and boy, didn’t we have some challenging times?  we all have created some lifelong memories, some of which were very satisfying, some frustrating and some downright funny when looking back with hindsight.

John served (and dug in) during a period in which the club was being grossly mismanaged and faced serious repercussions as a direct result. He can and should take great pride in playing a major role in keeping them accountable and answerable to our members and the wider fan base.

Thank you John for all your hard work and for being a wonderful colleague.

Let’s hope this season ends with a big celebration.
