"Well, it’s been a pretty busy week or so at Sheffield Wednesday.  We’ve seen a handful of incomings and outgoings, suffered a bump back down to earth at the hands of Crystal Palace, and celebrated our 145th birthday. Now it’s back to business as usual please.

This week Owls blogger Joe Crawthorn has written a very personal blog which is 'In Loving Memory' and that he wants to share with Owls fans.

"An event happened in my life this week that sums up just what it is to be a Sheffield Wednesday fan.

As I am sure most of you read in my opening blog for Wednesdayite, a very influential person in my life was my dad’s best friend, a guy who used to take me to Hillsborough when I was just a little nipper.

He also runs his own blog beatsandrhymesfc.com where he interviews players past and present but with the different angle of discussing music with them, with some top name interviews on there so far. He also writes regularly about Wednesday whenever he gets the opportunity.

"Relegation from the Premier League at the turn of the century marked the beginning of a dull decade for most wednesdayites. Countless managers attempted to save our sinking ship but nothing could be done to spare us from mid table mediocrity, and plenty of promotions and relegations between the old third and second divisions.
