Originally known as the Owls Trust, elections in early 2005 witnessed the arrival of a majority of new Board Directors and a new Chairman.

It was felt that a complete new re-launch and a re-branding of the Trust, along with a new emotive name that the ordinary fan could readily identify with, was necessary to maximise the Trusts real and exciting potential and 'Wednesdayite' was born.
