Hi Richard,
Why not come along and ask "the questions that need asking" yourself?
Meetings like this are opportunites for you as a fan to question LS.
Wednesdayite are giving you and our membership the platform to do this.
Thanks
Rich.
Wednesdayite Director
Why?
I have done to his face and was well and truly spun.
Why don't wednesdayite to what that commited to at the outset of the whole "fans group" and be independant of the club again?
Lee Strafford has given everyone the platform, please don't make it sound like you are doing something remarkable by organising such a meeting.
Q) Where have the club gone since the last "forward together" meeting?
A) Backwards
Your ordinary fan on the street does not care about the image of the club off the pitch, they care about what is happening on it, the only place we are heading is league one, and there is nothing that you or LS can do about it!
Why- because your all cuddled up together trying to get jobs at S6.
Hi Richard
We are representative of our members, so if there is a ground swell amongst our members to ask certain questions we WILL ask those questions of the club and LS. Are you a member?
And your question and answer the team has not progressed at all which all want to change, however the club itself has gone forward in so many ways from 12 months ago.
And to note I'm quite happy with my job in S9.
Rich :-)
Rich,
I was once a member when the organisation truly was independant.
I am all for working closely with the club I am not not for having the option to join Wednesdayite on my season ticket forms, to me this represents a clear conflict of interests and did more damage than good to the image of Wednesdayite and what it stands for.
As states, the club and the image of the club has gone forward and long term this will be a good thing, however the fact that we will be playing league one football next season is more a concern to me at the moment.
The fact that the business plan is failing and that the business plan was based on guestimates that were never ever going to be met is worrying me.
The fact that the club has gone through 3 brokers (that we know of) to try and secure investment and still nothing worries me.
The fact that KS seems happy and intent to place the blame soley at the feet of wednesday fans for not saving "our club" bothers me.
Lee Strafford has done a lot of good there is no denying it but can he get over the final hurdle?
I hope he can but doubt it now, if the future of this club depends on 20,000 fands buying season tickets then we are doomed, you cannot blame people for not turning up to watch what we are seeing, in addition the "match day experience" is still along way from pleasurable as a whole.
What I would like to see Lee do is give himself a salary, I realise that this will cost the club but then we have a right to demand answers without him reverting to the old "I'm working for free speel" everytime someone is critical.
We need an independant voice, I don't see wednesdayite as that anymore.
And just to note, I am happy that you are happy with your job in S9.
Regards
Thanks for your time.
