Smile Tickets
WednesdayiteAs an extention to our successful Smile Tickets initiative, Wednesdayite are this coming season running a 'Smile Season Tickets' scheme.
With Smile Tickets, Wednesdayite provide matchday tickets to disadvantaged people who would not normally be able to attend games. We provide this scheme through generous donations from members and supporters.
Our 'Smile Season Tickets' extention of the scheme allows us to bulk-buy a number of tickets for the forthcoming season at normal rates.
For every adult Season Ticket we purchase through the initiative, Sheffield Wednesday have pledged to honour the current offer of providing a free ticket for under-8's, meaning that tickets will be purchased for both adults and children.
The tickets will be awarded on a match-by-match basis to qualifying applicants who meet specific criteria, with emphasis on providing a matchday experience to long-term sick children and also to unemployed adults who would not be able to attend a match due to their circumstances. Details of how to nominate recipients of the tickets will be made available through Wednesdayite.com before the start of the season.

Smile TicketsLast season Owls fans donated over £3,500 to our Smile Tickets scheme. The money was used to purchase 21 season tickets in the name of ‘Mr. Smile’. The club kindly changed them into match day tickets so that we could allocate them to patients and carers from The Children’s Hospital, Sheffield and to other disadvantaged and deserving people.
One of Mr Smile’s guests last season at Hillsborough for the Nottingham Forest game was Craig Williams, a passionate fan who because he has to use a wheelchair, is not able to attend many matches and usually follows the Owls on the radio.
Smile TicketsMany of you will be aware that Wednesdayite have been distributing Match day tickets for all the Owls Coca Cola Championship games at Hillsborough this season through our successful Smile Tickets scheme.
Over £3,500 was raised last summer from generous Owls fans who donated into our Smile Tickets fund following appeals on the Owls Fans Message Boards.
WednesdayiteDonations totalling over £3,500 have been received throughout this close-season, allowing Wednesdayite to buy a block of tickets for every match this season, which will be awarded to deserving individuals or groups who would not normally be able to attend games, for whatever reason.
