Nominations and applications are now open for the 2011-12 season of our highly successful Wednesdayite SMILE Tickets scheme, which will allow a number of disadvantaged people to see the Owls on a match-by-match basis throughout the season.

Donations totalling over £2,500 have been received over the summer and early season, allowing Wednesdayite to buy a block of tickets for every match this season, which will be awarded to deserving individuals or groups who would not normally be able to attend games, for whatever reason.

 

There are a number of reasons why people would not normally be able to attend matches at Hillsborough and the Smile Tickets Scheme was invented for this purpose.

Some tickets for each game will be initially reserved for nominations coming from staff and patients of The Children's Hospital, Sheffield - however nominations are welcomed for the remainder of the tickets for each game from any individual or group who believes they know someone deserving of tickets.

Should you be aware of any individuals or groups who you believe to be deserving of (a) free ticket(s) for a match this season, please fill in the nominations form. Wednesdayite will assess the nature of the nomination and respond to successful applicants as soon as possible.

 

Wednesdayite Smile Tickets Nomination Form

  1. The aim of Smile Tickets is to provide matchday tickets to disadvantaged people who would not normally be able to attend games. We provide this scheme through generous donations from members and supporters.

    Tickets are awarded on a match-by-match basis to qualifying applicants, with emphasis on providing a matchday experience to sick children and their close family (Through nominations via The Children's Hospital, Sheffield, and other nominations); and also to other ill or unemployed adults or children who would not normally be able to attend a match due to their circumstances.

    To nominate an individual or group to receive matchday tickets through the Smile Tickets scheme, please fully complete the form, indicating any details of why you believe the nominee(s) are deserving of receiving matchday tickets.

    Preferred Matches are taken only as a suggestion. Popular games may be over subscribed and therefore successful applicants may be offered an alternative match outside your preferences.
