Wednesdayite Lounge
LoungeIt’s a great place to meet up and discuss all things happening at Hillsborough, build up to the game and to meet other members from all over the country who have made this their regular meeting place.
The Wednesdayite Lounge is at the popular venue of The Niagara Club on Niagara Road, Wadsley Bridge, S6 1LU and is open at 12pm until 2:45pm for all Saturday 3pm games, and from 6pm until 7:30pm for night matches.
Signing In - All members and guests must sign in on entry to the Lounge and members will be asked to exhibit their Wednesdayite membership cards as part of the signing-in process. Amongst other things, this will enable us to track numbers for health and safety purposes (ensuring we do not breach fire safety quotas etc) and to more proactively manage membership renewals by prompting and processing renewals there and then.
Guests - We will continue to welcome members’ guests to the Lounge although we are to re-introduce an entry fee of £1 per guest (not children) which will help raise funds and promote new memberships. If you are intending to bring more than two guests to the Lounge at any time, please advise a Wednesdayite director beforehand.
LoungeThe lounge will once again be based at the popular Niagara Sports & Social Club and with the sad closure of the Travellers pub, the Wednesdayite Lounge is now second only to the legendary Park Hotel for the title of closest pub to the ground! With big screen Sky TV, fine food and cheap drinks, not to mention a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere, it’s the essential pre-match ritual for all Owls!
LoungeThe lounge will once again be based at the popular Niagara Sports & Social Club on Niagara Road for the entire season and will open for the first game of the season against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday 7th August 2010*
