Sheffield Wednesday open up with Kanu, Yorke

SWFC NewsHillsborough stadium will this Sunday play host to the likes of Nwankwo Kanu, Dwight Yorke and former Owl Deon Burton as the doors are thrown open to supporters to take a look around Sheffield Wednesday.
Fans are invited to attend the first Sheffield Wednesday open day in several years, which culminates with a star-studded charity game between 'Friends of Africa' and 'Sheffield Legends'.

Starting at 10:00am, the day will comprise of many surprises. Supporters will be welcomed on a tour of the ground to take in many of the areas normally off-limits to fans, whilst individual club departments will be exhibiting to give an insight of their roles within the club.
Brian Laws and the Sheffield Wednesday squad will also be taking to the Hillsborough turf for a public training session, and players will be on-hand for autograph signing and meeting the fans.
To round the day off a number of famous faces will take to the pitch for the charity match at 3:00pm, arranged in association with the Sodje Sports Foundation, to raise funds for three charities: The Sodje Foundation, The Children's Hospital Charity and Boots For Africa.
Tickets are just £5.00 each (Under 13's free, but must be accompanied by an adult), which includes both the open day and the charity match, and are available at the Megastore, or online at the new SWFC Store.
