Wednesdayite Vice-Chairman joins SWFC

WednesdayiteWednesdayite Vice Chairman James Hargreaves has resigned his Directorship of the supporters' trust with immediate effect to take up a new full-time role at the club with responsibility for marketing online applications.
James was elected to the Wednesdayite Board in 2007 and was appointed Vice-Chairman last December. At the start of the current season he led the re-launch of Wednesdayite’s website at www.wednesdayite.com which has enjoyed a significant increase in traffic and widespread acclaim. He also managed the organisation's podcasts earlier this year, placing in the top 20 on the iTunes store podcast charts and at the time achieving more downloads globally than BBC Radio 5 live, Times online, TalkSport and Sky Sports.
John Gath, Wednesdayite Chairman commented "James's resignation is bittersweet for us – we are saddened to lose someone with his considerable talents yet through his appointment the club recognise that Wednesdayite has a number of highly skilled people within its ranks who can help the club to achieve its ambitions.
"His appointment is a further mark of the strengthening of the new relationship between Wednesdayite and SWFC whilst at the same time all parties agreed it was sensible to avoid any claim of a possible conflict of interests through his resignation from his voluntary position at Wednesdayite. James has been a great servant to Wednesdayite and we wish him well in his new role at the club where I am sure he will be a great success."
An announcement will follow regarding James's successor as Vice Chairman.
