Wednesdayite Appoint Vice Chairmen

We have previously announced that James Hargreaves has resigned from the Wednesdayite Board and his role as Vice-Chairman. James' departure has come at a time when the work-load at Wednesdayite is increasing and so we have taken the opportunity to re-organise things.
We decided, at the board meeting at the end of September, to create two Vice-Chair posts. This will allow more of the day to day work which was shared between the Chair and Vice-Chair to be spread out between three officers. It also allows for more cover to be available. To avoid any confusion it was agreed that we should have a Senior and a Deputy post.
At the same meeting, Graeme Cook, who had stood down from the board at the last AGM agreed to be appointed as the official Secretary to the Board. Graeme has been carrying on with the work of Membership Secretary since he retired from the board.
Following discussions, the board appointed Peter Shaw as Senior Vice-Chair and Richard Davies as Deputy Vice-Chair of Wednesdayite. Peter brings considerable experience along with his drive and organisational skills and Richard has already shown the necessary enthusiasm, knowledge and commitment to Wednesdayite. They have worked very well together and with others, on the recent major Coast to Coast charity event which would not have been possible without their input.
I am looking forward to working closely with them and I am confident that they will both do an excellent job.
