The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters' Society, Wednesdayite are pleased to announce the appointment of two new, but old, directors to the Wednesdayite Board.

Nigel Short and Charlie Dickens, who have both been members of the Wednesdayite board previously, have been co-opted onto the board with immediate effect.

Both Nigel and Charlie went through the Wednesdayite election process this year, and due to our AGM being delayed until September/October, they have been co-opted until their appointments will be presented to members as one of the resolutions at our AGM for ratification.

We welcome both Nigel and Charlie onto the board and look forward to working with them closely and hope they help shape the society's activities during their tenures as Wednesdayite directors.  We are confident they will both do an excellent job in their roles.

Also at the AGM, once the date is confirmed, current director Irma Kennedy will be retiring from the board.  We would like to put on record our sincere thanks for all the hard work Irma has put into the society during her tenure and wish her all the best for the future.   No doubt Irma will still be around as a volunteer.

Members will also be asked, at the AGM, to approve the appointment to the Board of current directors Dave Barlow, Diane Cockayne, Darryl Keys and Jeff Williams.

News of this was sent to Wednesdayite members first via email so if you aren't a Wednesdayite member and would like to join to enjoy these benefits from the club and also receive details first about Wednesdayite, click here to join Wednesdayite for just £5.
