Statement from Wednesdayite, The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Society - dated 12th August 2010.

Wednesdayite has been in communication with SWFC regarding the recent issuing of the winding up order by HMRC.


As we have previously stated, we met with SWFC CEO Nick Parker on 23 July 2010 when the order was reported.  Since that meeting, we have written to the CEO expressing our concerns and raising questions about the situation at SWFC.

We have arranged a special meeting of the Wednesdayite Board for 16 August to discuss the concerns we have raised and any response from the club.  We also have a scheduled Wednesdayite Board Meeting on 21 August.

The financial state of the club must be of serious concern to fans and shareholders.  As always, we are willing to help and support the football club in any way we can, in seeking a solution to the current difficulties.

Absoluetly correct. Fans need to know exactly how serious the situation is. No pulling the wool over peoples eyes lets have some straight answers to up front questions.

do you think youll get any truth ? i seriously doubt it. stop wasting time with meetings and lets have some action before theres no club left this board must go then well see the true state of what there hiding
