Statement Arising from SWSS Board Meeting - 10th September 2010

Following events this week involving action taken by HMRC against Sheffield Wednesday, The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters' Society, Wednesdayite have released the following statement - dated 10th September 2010.
It is clear from the events of the past week that a lot of work was put in to help and support the club. The efforts of Howard Wilkinson and Nick Parker are obvious and very much appreciated. It is also clear that the current SWFC Board is badly in need of strengthening so that the work load does not all fall on the shoulders of Howard and Nick.
There are committed and passionate Owls fans who could provide the strengthening which is required urgently. We have the names of three such fans who between them could provide experience, expertise and resources to help the club in the serious work ahead.
All three are credible and respected in their own fields and are willing to offer their services to the club.
We will therefore be contacting the club, with a proposal that the three fans are invited on to the SWFC Board as soon as possible. It is hoped that they can then support the work of Howard and Nick as they seek a resolution to the club's immediate problems.
We would hope that the SWFC Board, sufficiently strengthened in the way we are proposing, will then seriously engage with seeking an investment solution which includes a significant involvement of the general fan base and ordinary shareholders. This would help to ensure that the future of the club is in the hands of those who love it most.

Being a Wednesday fan the recent issues are just adding concern to a club in financial trouble, as a independent financial adviser I would be happy to volunteer some advice/help if it would be of assistance. email me if I can be of assistance.
kind Regards Robbie
If we go into Administration anytime soon, It would be a massive slap in the face to the generousity shown to us by the Co-Op bank. Althougth, for Sheffield Wednesday, I believe the only way forward, is a massive step backwards, simply because we have been living beyond our means for too long.
The club would be tarnished for going into administration, but the blame would be collectively aimed at the individuals responsible.
Are these individuals offering their services FOC? If they are then it should be looked upon positively as they have the clubs interests at heart. If we all pull in the same direction and all do our little bit we (the fans) can pull wednesday through this.
I thought You guys (wednesdayite) owned 10% of the shares, have you no power to start rocking the boat, someone needs to do something soon before the clowns in charge turn our club into a laughing stock (even more so!!), they are a cancer on our Club. Maybe its time for wednesdayite to step up as did so against Dave Allan, we are all fed up of the constant lies from the board, we need change before its too late.
