Wednesdayite Programme Notes v Ipswich Town
Last Updated on Monday, 01 March 2010 08:25
For those of you who don't get the match day programme, The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Society, Wednesdayite will be publishing their programme notes on Wednesdayite.com after each home game.
These notes are from the Owls v Ipswich Town game which took place on Saturday 20th February 2010.
It's a Praise for Sheffield Wednesday
Praise for Alan Irvine and his staff for lifting the spirits of the players and the fans with whatever changes he has made to bring about the improvements on the pitch.
Praises for all the players who have put in the performances which have brought five wins in seven - could have been more but for the strange decision made by the referee at Forest.
Praises for the travelling fans at Forest and both sets of fans at the Blackpool match (and all at SWFC) for the tributes to Cpl. Liam Riley.
Praise for a year of links with SCH.
Praises for the fans who have bought season tickets for next season, giving the club the opportunity to plan early.
Praise for the plans to create the family area and fans bar in the Grandstand wings for next season.
Forthcoming Event: Wednesdayite Discussion Meeting
Forward Together – A Year On - with Lee Strafford
It doesn’t seem too long ago since Lee Strafford sat in front of a full 1867 lounge, and a live internet audience, at our Forward Together meeting last year and talked to us about his vision for the future of Sheffield Wednesday. Now, 12 months on The Sheffield Wednesday Supports Society, Wednesdayite are delighted to announce that we will be holding another discussion meeting with our special guest again being Lee Strafford. The meeting takes place on Thursday 25th February in the 1867 lounge again, entrance is free of charge and everyone is welcome.
The evening is the perfect opportunity to catch up with Lee and talk about the progress made off the pitch by the club and the plans for the future.
