For those of you who don't get the match day programme, The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Society, Wednesdayite will be publishing their programme notes on Wednesdayite.com after each home game.

These notes are from the Owls v Derby County game which took place on Saturday 20th March 2010.

Good result - more of the same please!
The performance, by the team and by the fans was just what we needed when the Owls played Leicester at the last home match. Well done and thank you to everyone. The effort and commitment was so obviously carried through to the match against West Brom.  So despite the disappointment of losing to the only goal of the game, we can all take pride and comfort from that. Let us hope that we can all get behind the team today and help them get the points we need.

Help for Heroes
Wednesdayite played a small part in the Help for Heroes day at the Leicester City match recently.  We organised the volunteers who worked around the ground with collection buckets for a couple of hours before kick-off and helped raise a massive total of £1,847.36.  A huge thank you goes to all of the volunteers for their work and also our thanks to the thousands of Owls and Foxes fans who donated towards the appeal.

We will also be helping with another collection at the Easter Monday game against Bristol City, if you would like to volunteer to help please contact us via the details at the bottom of this page.

Presentation to Sheffield Children's Hospital - Kid's Scanner Appeal
Following our successful fund raising efforts over the last 6 months, both on the Coast 2 Coast bike ride last September and Phil King’s race night in January we are now in a position to hand over some of the money we raised.

The efforts and generosity of Phil King, David Hirst, John Beresford, our volunteers and everyone who donated means that we will be able to hand over a cheque for £1,000 to the BBC Sheffield Kids Scanner Appeal for The Children’s Hospital.

We will be presenting the cheque to Simon Athey, Senior Fundraiser for The Children’s Hospital, before today’s game.

During both events we have also raised substantial funds for the Sheffield Wednesday community fund and we will be making an announcement about that money raised in the near future.
