For those of you who don't get the match day programme, The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Society, Wednesdayite publish their programme notes on Wednesdayite.com after each home game

Below are our notes for the Owls' F.A. Cup 3rd Round tie against West Ham Utd which took place at Hillsborough on Sunday 8th January 2012.

ON THE ROAD WITH THE MASSIVE: WEDNESDAYITE TAKE TWO HUNDRED TO PRESTON
Our Away Coach service has been going from strength to strength this season, with trips to every away match this term and our now-legendary Park & Ride day to Bramall Lane for the Steel City Derby in October. New Years’ Eve saw a new high point reached with five Wednesdayite coaches making the trip over the Pennines to swell the already-considerable numbers in the Bill Shankly Kop at Deepdale. As a result, over two hundred Owls fans enjoyed a police escort in and out of the town, not to mention a stress-free and comfortable away day culminating in Wednesday’s fantastic 2-0 victory to kick-start 2012.

Tom was so impressed he very kindly thanked us on fan forum Owlstalk, saying “First time I had used them (was on coach 4) - they are brilliant for away days. Cheap tuck shop on the bus (Snickers for 30p...), a nice crossword quiz and a good atmosphere, with a nice and friendly host. Definitely would recommend them to anyone considering going to away games - takes the stress out of travelling car/train and made the away day experience a lot more enjoyable.”

Thanks Tom, and thank you not only to everybody who has made the Wednesdayite Away Coach such a success, but also the volunteers who give up their time to steward the coaches to all four corners of this great nation! If you haven’t taken a trip away with us, why not give us a go?

SMILE TICKETS – NOMINATE A MATE!
Our SMILE Ticket scheme is running for the rest of the season and is the perfect way to give the gift of a match at Hillsborough to someone who deserves it. This season has seen us not only reach out to those who are battling medical conditions and groups of schoolchildren, but also to other fans who, for whatever reason, have seen their love of the Owls take a back seat to the issues facing them in their lives. And now we’re opening it out to the entire SWFC family!

Perhaps you know someone who gives their time as a volunteer in the community, someone who cares for a family member or friend, or someone who has been recently made redundant and as a result can’t make it to Hillsborough to help cheer on the Owls to the dream of promotion.

We’re asking all Wednesdayites to nominate deserving people that they know and help us put a SMILE on their faces with a ticket to watch SWFC. Up the Owls!
